Over 30 years ago on a trip to Montana, Jeff decided to test his luck at one of the sapphire mines. After an enjoyable day finding sparkling gemstones, Jeff decided he wanted to make a career out of it. For the next several years, he studied the many varieties of gemstones and all styles of cutting.
After becoming a master of the craft, Jeff started his own colored gemstone wholesale company. He spent the next 20 years traveling to mines all over the world, working with stores across the country and training his team of gemstone cutters.
In 2002, he realized that there was a niche in the local Fargo-Moorhead retail market that he would be happy to fill. A Cutting Edge – Gallery Of Jewelry now specializes in exceptional colored gemstones and has the largest loose diamond and semi-mounting jewelry inventory in the region.
